What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Rori ABA Care?
Hi there, we’re Rori Care
At Rori Care, we blend heart, tech, and common sense to deliver better care for kids and a better work experience for our team. We’re an investor-backed healthcare company that’s still small enough for everyone to know each other by name. This is a place where you’re never just a number, you’re part of a team that feels like a community. Over the next three years, we plan to grow to 500 patients while keeping that same personal connection and personality that makes Rori Care special.
Our mission is simple:
- Free BCBAs and RBTs from endless admin
- Make quality ABA therapy more accessible
- Build smarter tools that support great clinical work
What the role looks like
We’re looking for Behavior Technicians to join our team. You’ll work 1-on-1 with kids (mostly aged 2-10), helping them build essential communication, social, and learning skills through evidence-based ABA therapy supervised by experienced BCBAs.
Caseload – What to Expect
This role comes with a guaranteed minimum of 15 paid hours per week—even if sessions are canceled by parents or adjusted on our end. You’ll always be paid for those hours, because we value your time and commitment.
Most sessions will take place in homes or community locations around the East Bay Area.
The schedule is flexible and can be a perfect fit if you’re balancing university classes or looking for an evening shift to complement a morning job. Whether you’re building your career or adding a reliable source of extra income, this role can work seamlessly alongside your other commitments.
We’re focused on long-term relationships, not quick turnover. We want you to grow with us, build experience, and make the most impact in the lives of the children we serve.
What you’ll do
- Work directly with clients in their homes, schools, or community settings
- Follow and implement personalized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Track behavior data and progress using our easy-to-use tools
- Support kids in learning communication, daily living, and social skills
- Collaborate with your supervising BCBA and share client updates
- Assist with assessments like preference testing, when needed
- Join regular team check-ins, trainings, and supervision sessions
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practices
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree is a plus)
- Experience working with kids or teens with autism is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills—you’re friendly, clear, and reliable
- A calm, professional approach to challenging behaviors
- Willingness to learn and grow—we offer training and support
- Reliable transportation to travel between sessions
- Must pass a background check
- Comfortable using mobile devices for notes and data (we’ll train you!)
