Job Summary:
Working with various entities of Roppe Holding Company, this individual is responsible for a variety of accounting-related functions. Therefore, it is crucial that this position focuses on prompt follow-up on questions from upper management regarding the financials and additional analysis as necessary.
In addition, this position has a variety of inventory control responsibilities. As well as performing standard cost updates for various entities and assisting with all ISO-related needs of RHC.
This position is crucial for many functions of the accounting team including but not limited to accounting projects and analysis as requested from multiple departments, including customer sales detail, selling price review, discount analysis, etc. This position provides numerous month-end schedules analyzing sales, balance sheet reconciliation, taxes, audit support, costs, and a variety of ratios.
Responsibilities:
- Month-end reporting and financial statement generation for various RHC entities, including all manual journal entries, electronic journal update, additional analysis schedules included in financial reporting package and summarization of the monthly operating results.
- This also includes monthly analysis of raw material costs, review of raw material, work-in-process and finished goods reports, sales reports and product line analysis.
- Inventory control for various entities, including cost reviews and formula updates in costing models, production and scrap reporting and other inventory projects as required. Month-end cost updates in system and review of effect of changes made.
- Meeting with various entities operational personnel on improvements in process, updates in costing and projection of future operating results.
- Manage manufacturing cost reviews; sustainability; ISO assistance
- Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts; perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning, while overseeing preparation, review, and timely filing of state taxes and provide support for federal tax returns to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Prepare and deliver ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management to support decision-making and special projects.
- Filling in as necessary when business demand increases or when the department is short staffed.
- Various other projects and accounting duties as required.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience, including at least two years in cost accounting (required).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Experience in tax and auditing preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Windows-based tools.
