We are seeking a highly experienced and well-rounded Tax Professional to join a well-established team in a key client-facing role. This position requires a strong technical foundation in tax law, the ability to manage complex tax engagements, and a consultative approach to client service. The ideal candidate will bring both compliance expertise and strategic insight to support individuals and businesses year-round.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review a wide range of federal and state tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and other complex filings
- Lead the review process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to current tax laws and regulations Provide proactive tax planning strategies and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing advanced and complex tax questions with clarity and professionalism
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment
- Research and interpret evolving tax laws and regulations, applying findings to client situations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient workflow
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation to support all filings and recommendations
Qualifications:
- CPA preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- 5–10 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a similar environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong experience reviewing returns and preparing complex tax filings
- Demonstrated ability to take a consultative, client-focused approach
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to clients
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, year-round position
- Ability to work extended hours during tax season (55–65 hours per week, Monday– Friday)
