Essential Functions

- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
- Performs visual inspection of parts prior to assembly.
- Identifies any quality issues and notifies appropriate personnel.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Identifies and resolves assembly related problems.
- Selects and maintains the necessary tools required for assembly.
- Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
- Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
