education is extremely important to sales success and brand representation. we will work with you to develop the fundamental knowledge to open and answer common questions about cbd product and holistic health. if you get questions that you’re not 100% confident with answering, we have your back. alec gregoire, jordan park, anna park and john huddock are available to answer client questions directly or give you the information to relay.

the best sales training is coaching along the way. forget about hard scripted pitches that are robotic and sterile. most people are wise to this and it’s not impressive. hard and pushy sales techniques are for cheap products and old crusty bastards. instead, we believe the best sales rep uses aspects of their own personality, within the framework that we lay out to build real relationships with prospective clients.
the top keys to success.
- know your product and know it well.
o nothing is lazier and more underwhelming that a sales rep who doesn’t know their product. why are you selling it to someone if you don’t know what it is? know what the product is, how it’s made, what it’s used for, what professions or stores its most popular in. know this stuff. you should be equally knowledgeable and honest with what you don’t know. never shoot from the hip when it comes to product knowledge or application. be upfront with the prospect in telling them you’re not sure, but you will get back to them. if you don’t know an answer, email them or call them after you leave and find the answer. this will often involve calling a senior success rep or product guru for support.
- consistency.
o you will not convert 50% of your prospects into clients. that’s just how it goes. each sales rep will have a unique conversion rate based on their ability to qualify prospective clients,
o don’t stop nurturing a relationship just because someone said no.
§ you will get a lot of no, which is totally expected. don’t discard these prospects just yet. try to get an understanding of why they’re not interested. never interrogate a prospect but employ some stealth to get a little more detail.
§ keeping top of mind is powerful!
- a percentage of your NO clients are just not ready, or they don’t fully trust you yet. you can’t blame them! companies get constantly bombarded by salespeople. we get sales calls 2-3x daily, ever weekday. the big difference successful and unsuccessful salespeople is the tasteful follow up that doesn’t push people to purchase, but keeps you top of mind. you want them to KNOW who you are and remember your product. many times, we will get emails from clients 6-12months after initial outreach who want to start a relationship because they decided they were ready, or they had a falling out with their previous vendor. winning their clients is all about building that trust and keeping top of mind. we will discuss this in detail when you start your sales journey with us.
organization.
o through your consistent outreach, you will end up with hundreds and possibly thousands of cold, warm and active leads. you will not make it far without very good organization. you can’t fall behind on updating clint logs. communication, orders and samples sent. this is the game changer. you will get very lost in your outreach, prospect and client list without great organization. as Jorge Masvidal would say, this is super necessary.
§ you will be given access to a spreadsheet style cloud software to organize your outreach and clients. you will also keep a segmented email database of your clients for quick mass email communication.
§ once you establish yourself as a sales rep with good potential, you will be given access to a full stack sales software (Zendesk sale) for next level organization.
o your outreach should also be methodically organized.
work as a team.
o sales teams are typically competitive by design, but you absolutely need to utilize the support of the roots apothecary team. when you’re getting stated, you will cc your senior success rep in all email communications and include them in all deal closings. this is a part of the coaching process. even after you’re rocking on your own, you will be in frequent communication with a senior success rep and be getting frequent consultation on your leads, qualification process, closing process and overall success. this is almost always a constructive process. do not hesitate to set up meetings to review your success at any stage of the process. a rising tide floats all boats, so while sales is naturally competitive, were all here to help each other grow.
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation depends on your experience.
