Responsibilities & Tasks

•      Assisting the Master Roaster.

•      Learning the Roasting Process.

•      Performing daily tasks to ensure roast consistency and quality.

•      Grinding and packing coffee, including setting up the packing machine, managing changeovers, and troubleshooting minor equipment maintenance.

•      Update packing log as items are packed.

•      Will work closely with maintenance tech & under operations supervisor to reach efficiency goals.

•      Custodial duties: sweeping, sanitizing workstations, and maintaining a food safe environment.

•      Responsible for following food safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

•      Coffee industry background preferred (i.e. barista or other).

•      Strong sensory skills, and desire to learn and grow with the company.

•      Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting machinery.

•      Computer aptitude for data entry.

•      Attention to detail.

•      Team player.

•      Solid time-management and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.

•      Ability to lift 50 lbs.

•      Completion of a background check and drug testing (including THC).

•      Drug and smoke free environment

Compensation

•      $20 / hour to start.

•      10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (M-F initially, Tues – Sat in the future).

•      35-40 hours / week

•      Bonus based on operational efficiency goals.

•      Eligible for prorated PTO and paid holidays if average > 25 hours per week

•      Opportunity to take on new responsibilities and challenges.

•      Payroll is run every two weeks.

•      Ninety (90) calendar days of employment are an Introductory Period for training and mutual communication.
