Position Summary:

The Senior Estheticians at Root bring their education, training, expertise and experience to our clients through assessments, consultations and treatment plans for our clients' skin health.  They are expected to perform all types of Organic skin treatments offered on our menu: facials, medi-facials, LED treatments, micro-current, microdermabrasion, extractions, scrubs, enzyme treatments, body wraps, and includes mini neck/shoulder massages. They should maintain a strong client base and re-book rate and participate in marketing and social media content to expand and promote skin services. They have strong skin analysis and diagnostic skills – deep knowledge of problem skin, anti-aging, rosacia, acne and prescribing appropriate products, enhancements and home-care recommendations in a prescription form after each service. All estheticians follow the highest standard of sanitation protocols, maintain a neat and fully stocked treatment room, and have the desire to improve technique and be open to on-site training events. Senior Estheticians may be called on for training less experienced staff and supporting spa growth per the direction of the Clinic Manager.

Responsibilities:

Safe, secure and approachable client experience

· Presents a warm, professional and positive disposition from first impression through the entire client experience

· Adheres to a professional standard in dress, appearance, language, and lifestyle

· Arrives at least 15 minutes prior to shift to get grounded, be present and set the stage for a transformative client experience

· Practices the highest standard of sanitation, neatness, and preparedness (properly stocked)

in the treatment and prep rooms

· Evaluates clients’ needs and recommends appropriate ongoing treatment, home

care recommendations or clinician referral

· Actively protect and contribute to a positive and peaceful healing environment for our clients and healthy work environment for our staff

· As professionals and healers, we are in the ‘energy management’ business. Team members are expected to self-manage their wellbeing, attitude, integrity, work ethic, each and every day while at Root

Professional and Ethical Therapeutic Skin Services

· Ability to perform all skin services, body treatments and applicable add-on treatments offered on Root’s services menu according to protocols

· Conduct a focused client intake to note health conditions and evaluate the best treatment for each client

· Perform 30-90-minute sessions and documents all sessions using appropriate diagnosis, treatment and billing codes according to established guidelines

· Communicates and explains procedures and treatments appropriate for client’s needs, including recommendations for future appointments and at home regimens

· Attends and participates in all general, team and required meetings

· Attends all in-house training and commits to continuing education

· Open to coaching, roleplaying and improvements to improve skills

· Mentors, trains and assists new team members to help them understand the benefits of holistic skin care for Root clients

· Invests in continuing self-education to ensure growth

· Knowledgeable and confident in whole body health services that can be recommended to clients for better results

· Interacts cooperatively with other Root therapists and clinicians to provide a seamless client

experience and refer for services as needed

· Build connections and awareness in the community to promote their practice at Root

· Attend events and participate in marketing/promotional activities to increase their presence in the local community.

Qualifications:

· Active Esthetician or Advanced Esthetician License in the state of Oregon

· Minimum 5 years of work experience practicing as an esthetician

· Experience with Organic product lines; Eminence, Osmosis and Naturopathica a plus

· Confidence as skin expert to recommend protocols or products for home care

· Responsible, ethical and reflects the values of Root
