What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Operations Assistant position at Root Holistic Manual Therapy and Performance?
Practice Operations Assistant
We’re a growing physical therapy practice looking for an organised, dependable person to help keep the clinic running smoothly and make sure patients receive a welcoming, responsive experience.
You’ll work directly with Jonathan, the practice owner, taking ownership of the day-to-day administration that allows him to focus on patient care and developing the business. This role suits someone who enjoys clear expectations, follows through on commitments and takes satisfaction in getting the details right.
You’ll answer calls and respond to enquiries, schedule appointments, manage cancellations and help fill available spaces. You’ll also keep patient and referring-provider information organised, process incoming faxes, track required paperwork and help maintain a clean, welcoming clinic.
As you become familiar with the practice, you’ll help publish prepared social media posts and blogs, upload patient guides to the website and coordinate outreach to local gyms, studios and healthcare providers.
We work best with clear tasks, agreed deadlines and straightforward communication. You’ll be comfortable keeping an updated task list, confirming when work is complete and flagging anything that needs clarification or is likely to be delayed. You won’t be expected to guess what’s needed, but you will be expected to ask questions and follow things through.
You should be confident speaking with patients, comfortable learning scheduling and office software, attentive to detail and able to handle confidential information appropriately. Experience in a healthcare or service business would be helpful.
