Position Summary

The residential Senior Counselor performs a full range of clinical and administrative duties under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor. Assists in overseeing the daily operations of the program.

Salary Range: $73,000 - $90,000 with a $5,000 sign on bonus!

Essential Functions

• Assists the Clinical Supervisor in overseeing the daily operations of the residential program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and agency policies. Provides guidance and support to staff as needed, fostering a positive team culture and collaboration.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for residents, in collaboration with clinical staff.
• Coordinate care and services for residents, including referrals to both internal and external agencies.
• Provide clinical supervision to Counselors as needed.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress and program activities completed.
• Maintain caseload as required, including assessments, individual and group therapy sessions.
• Communicate regularly with community partners, agencies as well as with internal providers.
• Transports patients safely in agency vehicle from facility to appointments and other venues on an as needed basis.
• Provides on-call coverage for consultations and emergency services.
• Staff in this position could be mandated to work beyond scheduled hours to meet regulatory staffing requirements and needs. Employees would be entitled to a stipend if mandated.
  
  

Qualifications/Skills Required

Current licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Must be knowledgeable about the biological and psychosocial dimensions of substance use and mental health disorders and their treatment and be able to identify the signs and symptoms of acute psychiatric conditions, including psychiatric decompensation. Adult CPR/AED or BLS certification must be obtained and maintained within the initial 6 months of employment. Must possess a valid driver’s license and safe/clear driving record.
