What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Supply Clerk position at Roosevelt General Hospital?
Job Summary
Assist the Director with all the essential job duties for Materials Management by ensuring that supplies are ordered and received. Deliver supplies and maintain the Central Supply Department in a clean, organized, and functional condition. Assist other department personnel as necessary. Receive and distribute supplies throughout the organization.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Receive deliveries from internal and external sources.
- Check deliveries for accuracy and report discrepancies to the RGH Purchasing Agent
- Receive deliveries into electronic supply system when applicable
- Perform Cycle Counting as needed
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes and/or cancellations
- Retrieve and fill requisitions from the Materials Management electronic supply system and email group.
- Ship supplies and/or equipment that needs to be sent out ensuring accuracy of return label and associated documentation
- Determine if inventory levels are sufficient and report refill orders to the RGH Purchasing Agent
- Evaluate stock in warehouse and PAR locations for expired products to be quarantined and replaced/re-ordered.
- Rotate stock in main warehouse and PAR locations using First In First Out rule to lower the chance of expired supplies
- Perform inventory annual at end of fiscal year
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and warehouse/receiving area
- Maintain approachable customer service-oriented attitude.
- Issue Inventory and maintain records for each PAR location.
- Receive, sort and deliver mail to appropriate recipients
- Receive, sort, and prepare outgoing mail for shipment
- Deliver supplies and minor equipment to satellite locations
- Maintain driver’s license to operate company vehicle
- Operate company vehicle safely obeying all traffic laws
- Complete daily bank deposits
- Transport confidential documents and lab draws while ensuring adherence to HIPPA regulations

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous inventory control experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
- Computer experience to include the use of an Electronic Inventory System

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Work is performed during regular work hours but will require overtime and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines.
- Work in varying degrees of temperature (heated or air conditioned).
- Work under extreme pressures.
- Position requires sitting for 4-6 hours per day and walking for 2 hours per day.
- Position requires light to moderate work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.
- Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
Salary : $15 - $22
