Tennis Instructor

Position Summary:The Tennis Instructor is responsible for teaching fundamental tennis skills to youth participants in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. This position is ideal for high school students with a passion for tennis and an interest in working with younger children. Instructors will lead drills, assist with skill development, and promote sportsmanship and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise youth tennis clinics, practices, and activities
• Teach basic tennis skills including grip, footwork, serving, and rallying
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment for all participants
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times
• Set up and take down equipment before and after sessions
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff
• Assist with organizing drills, games, and skill-building activities
• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating good sportsmanship and attitude

Qualifications:

• Current high school student.
• Basic knowledge and experience playing tennis
• Ability to work well with children of various ages and skill levels
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Reliable, responsible, and punctual
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with youth (sports, camps, babysitting, etc.)
• Participation in school or competitive tennis programs

Work Schedule:

• Seasonal
• Hours may include mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings depending on program needs

Compensation:

• Hourly wage: $10

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be active outdoors for extended periods
• Ability to demonstrate tennis techniques and drills

Roosevelt City Requires applicants for this position to pass a background check before their hire date.
