What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Store Sales Manager position at Rooms Today Furniture & Mattress?
We are looking for a difference maker! We are a family-owned furniture store in Cleveland, Ohio who has expanded our business and are looking for someone to take over management of our Cleveland location. Are you an experienced, talented furniture sales manager who drives results everywhere you go? Are you great with building business relationships and converting them into real revenue? We are searching for a proven sales performer who has a track-record of driving retail growth to lead an established family-owned furniture store. A people-focused personality who knows how to create a winning sales culture is a non-negotiable. Sales experience in the furniture/mattress industry is required, as is, strong closing.
The Store Sales Manager helps ensure the smooth operation of the store, including meeting sales targets to include conversion, margin, ticket average and others. The SSM is also responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, managing billing/paperwork, writing schedules, ordering and other duties. The ability to work closely with the owner on achieving company goals is also required.
Qualifications:
- Sales experience with a proven track-record as a closer in furniture or mattress is a requirement

- Ability to consistently hit revenue & KPI targets

- Assist with merchandising
- Prioritize sales while achieving other operational objectives in a timely manner
- Basic computer skills
- The ability to work nights/weekends(Sat & Sun)/holidays is required for this position

Physical requirements
- Stand and/or walk during the entirety of the shift
- Lift and move product up to 50lbs
- Load/unload merchandise to include heavy furniture items
