Duties
- Provide attentive and friendly service to all guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from arrival to departure
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Future POS
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Assist with food handling, sanitation and bussing tables
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, wine pairings, spirits, and current promotions to provide expert recommendations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant environment with a focus on fine dining or casual upscale dining
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS or Future POS
- Demonstrated ability in beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to build guest rapport
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking seamlessly
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling sales transactions
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred but not required; a passion for food safety and sanitation is essential
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with strong guest relations skills including bussing, hosting/hostess duties, and guest engagement
