Estimator

RoofingSource is hiring for an Estimator who is:

• Organized, consistent, and a self-motivated individual.

• Confident in managing relationships across multiple departments.

• Experienced working in a high volume environment responsible for facilitating and creating project estimates in a timely manner.

We’ve flipped the traditional roofing business model and serve as advocates in extending the life of our clients’ roofs.

Estimator Job Responsibilities:

• Reviewing service reports and emails for required buildings to receive proposals.

• Coordinating with account managers and field advisors regarding repair/reroof recommendations to develop the best solution for the client.

• Reviewing satellite images and street views, if available.

• Reviewing building plans provided and providing a take-off of the plan using RoofCad software.

• Developing necessary spreadsheets for materials and labor to be included in the proposal

• Confirming pricing on materials, hotels, lifts, dumpsters are current and accurate and submitting requests for material quotes with suppliers/vendors.

• Contacting local city/county building departments to confirm permit fees and requirements, if necessary

• Comparing scopes of work, labor hours, and material lists with already completed projects for accuracy

• Discussing the proposed scopes of work, along with production hours required, with the Project Manager and Superintendent.

• Reviewing and updating old and outdated proposals when necessary based on market pricing i.e. material, hotel, equipment, and labor prices

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

• Valid Driver’s License

• English fluency, Spanish a plus

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

• High attention to detail

• Great time management and organizational skills

• Ability to work through high-pressure situations

• Skilled at managing high volumes of email inquiries

An Estimator’s industry competitive salary varies depending on a candidate's professional experience. Most candidates receive a starting salary of $40,000-$60,000/year.
