Job Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Superintendent role based on Military Bases. The Superintendent oversees daily field operations for roofing and exterior projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and crews, organizing materials and equipment deliveries, and monitoring construction progress against project plans and specifications. The role involves enforcing construction safety standards, conducting site inspections, and addressing field issues in collaboration with project managers and clients. The Superintendent also maintains accurate documentation, prepares daily reports, communicates schedule updates, and helps ensure a high level of workmanship and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess strong Site Management skills, including supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing day-to-day field activities.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Management and Budgeting skills to help manage schedules, costs, resources, and change orders effectively.
- Candidates should possess Construction Safety knowledge, including familiarity with OSHA standards, job hazard analysis, and enforcement of site safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess strong Organization Skills to handle documentation, reporting, material tracking, and schedule coordination.
- Must be able to climb onto roofs throughout the day and take before, during and after photos of work being performed.
- Need to be able to operate an all-terrain forklift for unloading truckloads of materials on the jobsite.
- Several years of experience supervising commercial or multifamily construction, roofing, or exterior restoration projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency with basic construction management tools and software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, project or field management apps).
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to commit to 100% travel, and travel between job sites as needed.
