Experienced Canvasser / Door-to-Door Sales Representative

Roof Recruit is hiring experienced, high-performing canvassers and door-to-door sales professionals who know how to approach homeowners, start conversations, handle objections, and consistently generate qualified appointments.

This is a performance-driven role for proven canvassers.

Previous canvassing or door-to-door sales experience is required.

Compensation

• $20–$25 per hour
• $100–$200 per qualified appointment

Note: Additional compensation for Sales Reps who also perform the roof inspection, get the contingency/service agreement signed, and close the deal (total of 10-15% of the total job cost).

Performance Expectations

Canvassers are expected to consistently produce results in the field.

• Minimum expectation of 1–2 qualified appointments per working day
• Maintain consistent daily canvassing activity
• Confidently engage homeowners and create opportunities
• Follow the company's qualification and appointment-setting process
• Maintain high appointment quality, not simply fill the calendar
• Accurately document homeowner and appointment information
• Maintain strong attendance, reliability, and professionalism

What You'll Do

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing in targeted residential neighborhoods
• Approach and engage homeowners professionally and confidently
• Deliver a clear, conversational roofing pitch
• Ask qualifying questions and identify potential roofing opportunities
• Handle common homeowner objections
• Schedule qualified roofing inspections and appointments
• Use ClaimPredict technology to identify and prioritize higher-opportunity properties and neighborhoods
• Record homeowner and appointment information accurately
• Work independently while maintaining established performance standards
• Professionally represent Roof Recruit and our roofing partners

Requirements

• Previous canvassing or door-to-door sales experience required
• Reliable transportation required
• Proven ability to confidently approach and engage homeowners
• Strong communication and objection-handling skills
• Ability to consistently generate qualified appointments
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Comfortable walking residential neighborhoods and working outdoors
• Smartphone capable of using company applications and technology
• Dependable, professional, competitive, and results-oriented

Experience in roofing, solar, home improvement, storm restoration, telecommunications, pest control, security, or other door-to-door industries is a plus.

Flexible Schedule

We offer a flexible schedule, making this a strong opportunity for experienced canvassers who want greater control over when and where they work.

Territory availability may vary based on demand and current campaigns.

What Is a Qualified Appointment?

A qualified appointment is an appointment that gets qualified through ClaimPredict and also takes place with the homeowner present. Any cancelled appointments or other appointments that do not get qualified through ClaimPredict will not count as an appointment.

Minimum Production Standard: 1–2 qualified appointments per working day.

Top performers will average 1 appointment for approximately every hour of door-knocking. The industry standard is to get a minimum of 1 appointment for every 4-5 hours of door-knocking.
