Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, efficient stock management, and smooth logistics operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and move products efficiently within the warehouse.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately for timely delivery.
- Maintain organized stock levels through proper stocking techniques and regular inventory checks and warehouse management systems.
- Assist with order fulfillment processes including order picking, packing, and loading to meet customer deadlines.
- Conduct quality checks during receiving and shipping to identify damaged or incorrect items and report discrepancies promptly.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with team members to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and AS400 platforms.
- Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks and pallet jacks is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order calculations.
- Ability to operate equipment such as order pickers, load/unload trucks safely, and perform stock replenishment tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes including picking & packing for online orders.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
