The Rondout Valley Central School District is seeking a full-time Assistant Principal at Rondout Valley Middle School. Qualifications: New York State Certification, SBL or SAS and SED Fingerprint Clearance
Salary: Per Contract
General Responsibilities: The Assistant Principal supports the Principal in the organization, administration, and supervision of instructional programs, school operations, and student services.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A proven record of instructional leadership
- A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning
- Success in improving student outcomes and strengthening home-school communication
- Experience implementing research-based practices in instruction, student support, and data-informed decision-making
- The ability to collaborate effectively with staff while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience with restorative and trauma-informed approaches to student discipline
- A commitment to character education and social-emotional development
- A collaborative mindset and positive sense of humor
Other Duties: Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent/designee.
