RONDOUT VALLEY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking applicants for a full-time Choral and General Music (grades K-3) Teacher at Marbletown Elementary School and Kerhonkson Elementary School. The Rondout Valley School District has been named a "Best Community for Music Education" for the last eight years. We are seeking a dynamic teacher who enjoys working with young students and is committed to helping strengthen and grow the District's outstanding K-12 music program.

The successful candidate will:

• Possess a strong level of musicianship
• Possess a repertoire of classroom management strategies
• Have knowledge of healthy voice production for children
• Have a collaborative approach to music education
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
• Help students become excited about music, singing, and performing

Qualifications:

• Required: New York State Certification, Music, SED Fingerprint Clearance.
• Preferred: A background in Kodály, Orff or Gordon is preferred but not required.

Salary: Per Contract

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:40pm

Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
