Position Summary:
The Family Services Coordinator is part of the Family Services Team, which is responsible for all activities related to serving guest families and providing them with support and a room to stay while their child is undergoing medical treatment at a nearby hospital. The Family Services Coordinator works under the direction of the Family Services Manager.
Essential Duties:
- Manage guest registration process: coordinate room assignments, check in/check out families and provide access to guest rooms, lactation room, multi-sensory room and food lockers.
- Serve as a resource and make reservations for families in need of transportation and hotel reservations.
- Work with and provide guidance to volunteers who offer House tours and deliver equipment to guest rooms.
- Maintain proficiency in guest registration and guest management system.
- Work closely with operations team to manage room turnover.
- Complete accurate documentation and reporting, including guest family files, daily notes, database entry and opening and closing shift duties.
- Provide end-of-shift summary of activities to ensure consistent communication and follow up between shifts.
- Serve as backup for Family Services Manager as needed.
- Elevate issues and problems to the Family Services Manager and/or Social Worker.
- Available to work overtime for evening and weekend shifts.
Education & Experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- BSW, BA in Human Services, Psychology or related field preferred
- 2-5 years of experience, preferably in a medical setting

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
