OVERVIEW
The goal of a part-time Family Care Coordinator is to provide a comfortable and supportive space for families of hospitalized children during the evening and overnight hours at the Ronald McDonald House of Siouxland. This position requires overnight on-call hours where a sleep room is provided for staff at RMHC of Siouxland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Register and check-in guest families.
· Monitor guest activity related to House rules and policies.
· Regular cleaning duties, including laundry.
· Assists with meal-prep for family meals.
· Accept and track donations brought to RMHC.
· Oversees volunteers who may help on weekends/evenings.
· Assists Executive Director and/or Programs Manager in additional duties as assigned.
HOURS
One evening/overnight a week from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Office hours from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on-site/on-call sleep hours from 9:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m.
Other hours can be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma required
- Driver's License
- An interest in working with families of critically ill children.
- Computer proficiency
- Compassionate with a positive and optimistic outlook.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds while going up and downstairs
- Ability to clean
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High ethical standards
- Background and MVR check required
