Position Overview
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and managing volunteers who support the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room, and RMHC events. This position also oversees the Family Meal and Lunch on the House programs and supports volunteer engagement, communication, and appreciation efforts.
Essential Functions
- Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and manage RMHC volunteers; maintain an active volunteer roster and identify volunteer needs with staff.
- Respond to volunteer inquiries and represent RMHC at recruiting fairs, community events, and outreach opportunities.
- Coordinate volunteer projects and ensure volunteers understand and follow RMHC guidelines and expectations.
- Maintain volunteer records, contact information, hours, and reports using Volgistics software.
- Coordinate the Family Meal Program, including outreach, scheduling, communication, and welcoming meal provider groups; order meals when needed.
- Manage the Lunch on the House program, including supplies, scheduling, volunteer coordination, and delivery to the Ronald McDonald Family Room.
- Partner with the Director of Development to engage ADPi sorority members and RMHC Caring Partners through volunteer opportunities.
- Develop volunteer appreciation efforts, including thank-you communications and Volunteer Appreciation Week activities.
- Compile and distribute a monthly volunteer e-newsletter.
- Assist with House tours and other duties as needed.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; Adobe Suite experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect personal and organizational privacy.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
