You’ll join Ron Tonkin Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat, the highest‑volume MOPAR sales dealership in Portland, OR. The dealership has recently completed a full facility renovation and invested in upgraded Service Department equipment to support technicians with the tools and environment needed to succeed.

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose automotive problems as they arise
• Conducting inspections, repairing engine failure, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts
• Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process
• Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Compensation and Benefits

Flat-Rate Pay – the pay rate depends on certifications and experience but ranges from $30 - $45/hour for Technicians.

• $50 - $75 per hour with an Apprentice!

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Technician
• ASE Certifications
• Valid Driver’s License
• Personal Tools

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
