Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and mechanical adjustments to optimize system performance.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance; ensure timely completion of all service requests.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs for accountability and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC systems; construction experience is highly valued.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC design and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with field service procedures including troubleshooting electrical components using tools like ohmmeters.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving welding or other mechanical techniques; property maintenance background is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license
