Duties and Responsibilities
- To develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in the catering operation including (but not limited to) Banquets, Golf Outings, and Corporate Events
- Motivate staff to be the best they can be. Make sure customer service manual ideas are being used to the highest detail
- Always think of “The Next Big Idea” to bring new ideas and customers to the clubs.
- To train and supervise catering wait staff and bartenders.
- Maintain training with ServSafe, DRAM, TIPS, and/or TAM
- Adhere and maintain all catering budgets
- Maintain labor levels within budgeted numbers to ensure payroll is used in the most efficient way
- To establish and then achieve predetermined profit objectives.
- To establish high concern for effective control of food, beverage, and labor costs. Must provide Blue Heron Pines Golf Club General Manager, F&B Director, Chef & Sales Director with timely reports for above items when needed.
- Help prepare/update an operations manual for Catering Operations.
- To establish and enforce prices for the operation of catering and catering bars to achieve a profitable result.
- Be part of & ensure weekly BEO. (Banquet Events Organization) meetings are taking place and are effective.
- Maintain relationships with major clients.
- Ensure events and outlets are managed in compliance with safety regulations and Federal, State and local regulations
- Ensure practice of health and safety regulations
- Attend and contribute to managers meeting
- To regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer acceptance of catering operations and to recommend to Blue Heron Pines Golf Club General Manager and F&B Director new operating and marketing policies.
- Ensure guest complaints are handled tactfully and efficiently.
- Participate and find relevant trade shows. Attend company sponsored events.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- At all times, present a favorable image of Ron Jaworski Golf/ Ron Jaworski Weddings/Seven Tap Tavern
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years’ experience in front and back of house positions of banquets, restaurants, bars
- Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills
- Hands-on attitude and passion for guest service
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work weekends/holidays
- Food & Beverage management diploma preferred
- Must be neat, courteous and possess a pleasing appearance. Wear suits during weddings and major events.
- High School diploma
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
