Job Title: Bar / Wine Consultant
Reports To: Bar Manager / General Manager
Location: Ten Penny
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Bar / Wine Consultant, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for wine with customers while providing exceptional service. You will help customers navigate through our selection of wines, beers, and Mixed Wine Drinks, offer recommendations, and ensure a memorable experience. Key Responsibilities:
· Provide exceptional customer service to wine enthusiasts and customers
· Assist customers in selecting the right wines based on their preferences and needs
· Educate customers about different types of wines, regions, and flavor profiles
· Offer recommendations for food and wine pairings
· Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wine section
· Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed
· Prepare and Maintain Ingredients by following recipes
· Completes task list according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed.
· Contribute to daily, holidays, and theme drink menus in collaboration with supervisor
Essential skills and qualifications
· Knowledge of wines and wine production - In House Training to be provided
· Time Management, Adaptability, Decision-making, Oral Communication, Multi-Tasking
· High Energy
- Familiarity with food service industry and food safety regulations
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Previous experience in bartending or working with a POS system is a plus
Other duties as assigned.
