CDL Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers. This role involves route driving to deliver goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products while maintaining a high standard of safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and flatbed trucks.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers is a plus.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
• Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety on the road.
• A clean driving record with no major violations is preferred.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
