Responsibilities
- Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations, capturing vital signs, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans with precision.
- Manage and update electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Assist physicians by preparing medical documentation that reflects the physiology and anatomy relevant to each case, supporting accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain thorough records of medical histories, test results, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions within the medical records system.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to accurately interpret physician instructions and patient information.
- Support the clinical team during emergency room situations by quickly transcribing critical details under supervision.
- Ensure confidentiality of all medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
- Utilize typing skills to keep pace with fast-moving clinical environments, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office setting or as a scribe is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems is essential for success in this role.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology enhances your ability to accurately document complex cases.
