This announcement is for the position of ESOL Teacher for students. Rome High School is the only high school in the Rome City School System, located in Rome, Georgia, 65 miles NW of Atlanta. The candidate selected for this position MUST hold (or be eligible for) the Georgia Professional Standards Commission's teaching certificate in ESOL. The candidate selected must have: excellent content knowledge and the ability to utilize "best practices" in his/her instruction; ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool; knowledge of a standards-based classroom; ability to utilize data for planning successful instruction that results in increased student achievement; and, ability to work positively and successfully with peers and parents.
