What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant position at Rome Health?
Rome Health is seeking physical therapist assistants to join our outpatient therapy team at Chestnut Commons. We offer a spacious facility with ample treatment space and a full gym. This is an opportunity to work with and collaborate with seasoned clinicians having specialized skills including the McKenzie Method, concussion management, LSVT BIG, vestibular rehabilitation, and pelvic floor rehabilitation. You will work as a team with 2 or more therapists, providing treatment to your patients in collaboration with the supervising PT. A close, interactive approach between PTA and PT will ensure continuity of care for our patients, and support sharing of ideas and treatment strategies.
We serve a large population of various aged patients, primarily orthopedic in diagnosis. Our clinic is well supported by a vast network or primary care, orthopedic surgery, physiatry, neurosurgery, neurology, and podiatry referral sources.
You will not only be a member of the outpatient therapy team, but a part of our therapy family that serves inpatients at Rome Health and Sub-Acute Rehab and Long Term Care Residents at our Residential Health Care Facility. Ideal candidates will be team oriented, patient focused, and have a strong interest in orthopedic physical therapy. Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.

Position Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
- Current NYS registration as a physical therapist assistant is required.
