What You'll Do
As the CT Supervisor, you will play a vital role in both clinical and operational leadership, including:
- Overseeing daily operations within the CT department to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care
- Coordinating staffing and securing coverage during short-staffed situations
- Managing equipment performance and resolving issues promptly
- Partnering with leadership to recruit, interview, and onboard new team members
- Communicating department updates, policies, and expectations to all staff, including per diem team members
- Developing and leading training sessions and in-service education for CT staff
- Serving as a clinical instructor for the SUNY CT program, helping shape the next generation of imaging professionals
- Leading by example, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and performance
- Contributing to staff retention, engagement, and recruitment initiatives
- Supporting additional responsibilities as outlined in the full job description
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Experience in a hospital-based, high-volume CT environment required
- Proficiency in invasive radiology procedures strongly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team
- Current NYSDOH license to practice Radiography
- ARRT (R) certification required
- ARRT (CT) certification strongly preferred
