CNC Operator

ROME GRINDING SOLUTIONS is looking to hire a full-time CNC OPERATOR who brings some manufacturing experience with them and is interested in building a career with ROME. We have an experienced team and are open to training someone who is just getting started in Machining and sees a career in the manufacturing industry.

• Attendance is rewarded with a maximum incentive bonus of $1200 each quarter.
• Employer paid health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability.
• $3,000 sign on bonus (payable after 1 year of employment)

Responsibilities:

• Produce quality parts on CNC machines including the lathe and mill

• Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines

• Maintain clean equipment and safe work environment

• Follow all prescribed safety regulations; willing to wear all safety gear

• Measure, examine, and test completed parts/units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications

• Read blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations to fabricate products, determine product dimensions and tolerances

• Ability to meet goals, quotas, deadlines

• Manage time, efficiency and performance

Required Experience:

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds with assisting tools such as a hoist

• Maintains a safe work environment

Desired Experience:

• Ability to use precision tools; calipers, etc. to take accurate measurements

Challenges:

• Ability to work in an environment that has conditions that change regularly

• Able to stand for long periods of time
