They act as the final link between the customer, the dealership, and lending institutions while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Financing & Deal Structuring: Review credit applications, match buyers with banks or credit unions, and structure loan or lease terms.
- Product Sales: Pitch and sell value-added aftermarket products like extended service contracts, GAP insurance, and prepaid maintenance plans.
- Compliance & Paperwork: Prepare accurate legal and financial documents, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local lending laws.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of prior automotive sales or F&I experience.
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, DMV rules, and state finance regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dealership management software (DMS) and basic computer literacy.
