Role Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Transaction Advisory Services accounting professional to join our investment banking firm, based in Spring, Texas. This is an opportunity to apply the experience you have gained in either public accounting, assurance, audit or transaction services, or working in corporate accounting, to a variety of our investment banking clients within the diversified industrials sectors. This will be both an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the successful candidate, as you will gain exposure to several aspects of the client’s business as well as the M&A process.
This position will be based in our office in Spring, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and verify financial statements, and other client-provided financial records
- Use accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition
- Inspect client books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions
- Pull data from client accounting systems and prepare detailed analysis on data sets in excel
- Prepare detailed powerpoint presentations and reports on findings
- Lead the Quality of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital analyses
- Communicate regularly with clients and hired regarding engagement matters
- Lead the gathering, organizing and analyzing of client information in preparation for transaction due diligence
- Organize and maintain virtual data rooms for active transactions
- Assist in preparing standardized monthly reporting, including monthly financials, budgeting and KPI tracking
- Assist in preparation of marketing materials, memorandums and other transaction-related documents
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Minimum of 6-8 years of financial accounting, transaction services and due diligence experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with an accounting or finance concentration
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels in an organization
- High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint
- Advanced QuickBooks Enterprise Edition skills
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Self-starter who can work hard, manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities when needed
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently as well as being a team player
- Experience in, or strong understanding of construction accounting, industrials and manufacturing industries is a plus
