POSITION SUMMARY The Diocese of Springfield seeks a collaborative and mission-driven professional to serve as the Diocesan Coordinator of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) & Student Support. This individual will support Catholic elementary schools throughout Western Massachusetts by promoting student well-being, assisting school leaders with behavioral and mental health concerns, coordinating resources, and strengthening schools' capacity to meet the diverse social-emotional needs of students while remaining faithful to the mission and values of Catholic education. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES •Provide consultation and coaching to principals and teachers regarding student social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. •Assist schools in developing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and student intervention plans. •Coordinate diocesan professional development on trauma-informed practices, SEL, restorative practices, crisis response, and student wellness. •Serve as a liaison with local counseling agencies, community mental health providers, and public school districts when appropriate. •Support schools in responding to student crises and critical incidents. •Develop diocesan guidance, resources, and best practices related to student support services. •Assist schools with parent communication and family engagement regarding student well-being. •Coordinate networking opportunities for school counselors, adjustment counselors, and student support personnel. •Ensure all programming aligns with Catholic identity and the teachings of the Church. •Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Catholic Schools. COMPENSATION $45,000–$60,000 annually, depending on education and experience.
