Our Lady of the Rosary is Seeking a Coordinator of Liturgy and Music (10 hours/week).
Parish Description:
- Growing parish in Crozet, VA
- Three weekend Masses (Saturday Vigil, Two Sunday morning Masses)
- Average weekend attendance = 400

Job Description:
- Coordinator of Music
- 8 hours per week
- Plans and coordinates liturgical music for rehearsals, masses, and other major celebrations.
- Recruits musicians and instrumentalists
- Acts as a consultant to parishioners planning sacramental liturgies such as weddings, funerals, and baptisms
- Prepares parish music program budget as authorized.
- Attends meetings relevant to the position, including meetings with the pastor, staff meetings, and various liturgical planning meetings.
- Provides staff support and planning for Liturgy Committee.
- Provides music for special services such as weddings and funerals, to be compensated at a special rate that is paid by the family.
- Coordinator of Liturgy
- 2 hours per week
- Attends meetings relevant to the position, including meetings with the pastor, staff meetings, and various liturgical planning meetings
- Formation, coordination, recruitment, and training of liturgical ministry volunteers
- Exercise related administrative duties to carry out a comprehensive parish liturgical program
- Point of contact for sacramental liturgies including weddings, funerals, and baptisms
- Ensure the upkeep of the sacristy, vestments, and other liturgical furnishings of the Church
- Prepares parish liturgy program budget as authorized.
Qualifications:
- A practicing Catholic in good standing, with a deep commitment to the teachings of the Church.
- Keen understanding of the depth of the Catholic liturgical calendar
- Deep knowledge of Catholic liturgies
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in office productivity applications.
- Proficiency in keyboard performance.
- Knowledge of performance practice and of various religious styles and forms
- Familiarity with vocal techniques and experience in choral leadership.
