We are seeking an Information Technology Specialist to provide hands-on IT support to some Catholic schools throughout the Virginia Beach area and Eastern Region. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable and secure technology systems across all sites, with a focus on desktop support, network operations, and a Google Workspace-based environment.
This field-based position is well-suited for a hands-on, service-oriented professional who enjoys collaborating with school faculty and staff and providing responsive, practical support. The position is based at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School in Virginia Beach and requires regular travel between schools within the region. A vehicle is provided for work-related travel.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to staff, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, wireless systems, and connectivity issues.
- Administer Google Workspace and Chromebook environments.
- Provide technical assistance for Microsoft Office Suite applications as needed.
- Troubleshoot and maintain classroom technology, including ViewSonic interactive displays and related systems.
- Manage and monitor GoGuardian web-filtering services.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain PaperCut Hive and multifunction printers.
- Maintain device inventory and coordinate equipment deployment and replacement.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to ensure technology standards, security, and consistency across schools.
- Travel regularly between school locations within the Eastern Region.
