Director of Advancement: Charlottesville Catholic School in Charlottesville, Virginia, seeks a Director of Advancement for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. The Charlottesville Catholic School Director of Advancement is responsible for overseeing the school’s comprehensive fundraising efforts. Charlottesville Catholic School seeks an exceptional relationship builder who will passionately convey the mission and values of the school to individuals and partner organizations in an effort to expand the philanthropic footprint of the only Catholic School in a 100 mile radius of Charlottesville, Virginia. As an authentic storyteller, the successful candidate will lead school administrators, the volunteer board, and community partners in a comprehensive fundraising effort that includes annual and event-oriented fundraising, major gift fundraising, foundation support, and planned giving.
Under the direct supervision of the school principal, the Director of Advancement is responsible for:
- Implementing a comprehensive annual giving program;
- Increasing the amount and quantity of significant gifts from both individuals and private foundations;
- Implementing a strategy for philanthropic endowment growth;
- Engaging grandparent and alumni communities, both qualitatively and financially;
- Implementing and managing effective fundraising events and functions;
- Expanding CCS targeted donor circles;
- Preparing reports for and serving as a liaison representative to the School Advisory Board and Finance Committee;
- Managing CCS’ capital campaign.
