Overall Responsibility
The Administrative Assistant to The One provides administrative and operational support of the pilot program for The One within the Diocese of Bridgeport. This position coordinates and shepherds the day-to-day administrative and managerial functions of the initiative, ensuring alignment, communication, and follow-through among diocesan teams and participating pilot parishes. Working closely with diocesan leadership and key stakeholders, the Administrative Assistant helps ensure initiatives are organized, communicated effectively, and carried through to completion in support of the Bishop’s vision and diocesan priorities.
Essential Duties And Responsibities
The Administrative Assistant to The One provides administrative and operational support of the pilot program for The One within the Diocese of Bridgeport. This position coordinates and shepherds the day-to-day administrative and managerial functions of the initiative, ensuring alignment, communication, and follow-through among diocesan teams and participating pilot parishes. Working closely with diocesan leadership and key stakeholders, the Administrative Assistant helps ensure initiatives are organized, communicated effectively, and carried through to completion in support of the Bishop’s vision and diocesan priorities.
Essential Duties And Responsibities
- Shepherd all administrative and managerial aspects of The One pilot program
- Coordinate the activities of the Support Team, as appropriate
- Work with the Integration Team to ensure support is provided to pastors participating in the pilot parishes
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to coordinate pilot parish communication plans
- Attend and participate in Integration Team meetings.
- Attend and participate in Support Team meetings
- Work closely with the Project Executive to identify pilot parish needs, priorities, and follow-up actions
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of The One initiative
- Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in executive support, project coordination, administrative operations, or related experience
- Experience working in a mission-driven, nonprofit, church, or diocesan environment preferred
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
- Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office technologies
- Adhere to the U.S.C.C.B. Charter for Safe Environments Policy for Virtus compliance and adhere to the civil laws and reporting procedures
