About the Role
Step into an exciting opportunity as a Rough Grinder I at Romac. In this role, you'll be responsible for general production labor job involving rough grinding work. Requires hand eye coordination and the ability to follow basic written instructions and simple diagrams. With readily available supervision, use rotary or belt sanding tools to rough grind castings, remove burrs, or finish weld seams. You'll play a key part in the production process, and help Romac continue shaping the future for sustainable water distribution.
Hours: Mon – Thur 2:30 pm – 1:00 am
What you’ll do:
- Run the schedule with precision and accuracy, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Follow written instructions and drawings to ensure proper assembly and quality standards.
- Package and label products efficiently while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Utilize your exceptional attention to detail to identify and apply the correct assembly parts.
- Perform computer transactions to track product progress and inventory levels.
- Keep up with company work schedule expectations and the physical demands of the job.
What you’ll bring:
- Team player mentality with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong math skills and ability to read measurements using a tape measure.
- Basic understanding of computers and proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Previous experience in manufacturing/production.
Base Compensation Range $20.25 - $23.89 $1/hour shift differential
Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. Our salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance.
