What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truss Plant Maintenance Technician position at RoMac Distribution Truss?
RoMac Distribution Truss has an immediate opening for a Maintenance technician in our truss plant (first shift). With over 700 employees, RoMac is one of Florida's premier residential and commercial building material suppliers. A family owned company; we have been in business since 1945.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects and repairs production equipment and other facility equipment including saws and presses as necessary.
- Designs and builds equipment as needed for various phases of plant or facility operation.
- Installs safety equipment.
- Maintains maintenance supplies and spare parts.
- Keeps service and maintenance records and schedules of repair on all equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled.
- Monitors vendor repair costs, materials, time and parts.
- Able to troubleshoot system failures and recommend methods of repair.
- Other duties as assigned by location management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Special skills required - working knowledge of electrical, wire, plumbing, carpentry and welding systems
- Other - Ability to disassemble and assemble for repair various types of equipment and internal systems
- Valid Florida Driver's license is required with good driving record
