Duties
- Prepare and assemble pizza dough, toppings, sauces, and cheeses according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools efficiently and safely
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures are followed diligently to maintain food safety standards
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to achieve optimal quality and consistency in every pizza
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new toppings or specialty pizzas to enhance customer options
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures throughout your shift
- Support high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, ideally with a background in restaurant or high-volume kitchen environments
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production methods
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for special requests or catering needs
- Excellent food handling skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence in pizza making
- Prior experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently is essential
