Position Overview:
The Receiving Specialist is a professional who works in the warehouse. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that all incoming shipments are properly recorded and processed in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Receive raw material parts by following the standard process.
- Ensure the quantity of items received is properly accounted for throughout the entire receiving process.
- Record and track inventory levels of received items and update in the ERP systems as required.
- Follow published put-away rules to ensure received materials and components are stored in a safe, protected, and consistent manner.
- Transport goods to stock or to incoming inspection departments.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
- Proven ability to work on a team.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and takes pride in their work.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
- ERP Experience (Odoo and/or NetSuite is preferred).
- Computer skills, including experience in MS Office suite.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of the team.
- Expert at problem solving.
- Ability to work while standing for several hours.
- Ability to lift and move up to 70lbs.
- Experience in using pallet jacks, powered pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to machinery, noise, and various manufacturing processes.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, bend, and lift.
- Must be able to work a full shift standing if required.
