Position Overview:
ROMTech is looking for dedicated Material Handlers to join our rapidly growing team at our manufacturing facility in Brookfield, CT. This is a full time, onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to lift move up to 70lbs with aid.
- Pack and Unpack Portable Connect device for shipment or repair.
- Experience and proven ability to follow work instructions.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety) protocols while operating machinery.
- Experience with packaging, assembly and product handling processes.
- Maintain inventory integrity between warehouse and production floor.
- ERP Experience (NetSuite is preferred).
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience working in a warehouse facility.
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawing and work instruction.
- Proven ability to work on a team.
- Ability to lift move up to 70lbs with aid.
- Ability to work a full shift standing if required.
- High school diploma or GED, preferred.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Fork Truck Drivers License or safety certification is a plus!
- Any manufacturing or safety certification is a plus!
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
- Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio)
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to machinery, noise, and various manufacturing processes.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, bend, and lift.
- Must be able to work a full shift standing if required.
