What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Electrician position at Rolwes Electric?
We are looking to add a motivated apprentice electrician to our growing team!
Experience in the trades is preferred but not required. We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and interest in building a long-term career in the electrical trade.
A basic electrical knowledge/skills assessment will be part of the interview process.
We are a member of the IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors). After a 6-month probationary period, we will cover tuition costs for the IEC Apprenticeship Program. This 4-year program includes one day of school per week and provides the opportunity to become a journeyman electrician upon completion.
Our primary focus is commercial electrical work, with steady opportunities in residential and industrial projects as well.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Install conduit, wiring, and electrical components
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings as experience grows
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow NEC codes and company safety standards
- Work on commercial projects primarily, with occasional residential and industrial work
- Learn and develop trade skills through hands-on training and classroom education
- Experience in construction or trades preferred but not required
- Basic electrical knowledge preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to various job sites
- Must provide basic hand tools and steel-toe boots
- Ability to stand, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Ability to lift 20–50 lbs regularly
- Full-time position
- Pay: $19.00–$28.00 per hour (based on experience)
