Job Summary

• Responsible for the layout from digital files for roadway paving and pipe projects. Use global positioning system (GPS) and total-station positioning system (TPS) controlled instruments for the site layout and paving setup. Read plans, create sketches and notify leader of any discrepancies to plans with field layout.
  
  

Hours

• Ability to work hourly full time, generally 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays
• More/less hours may be required based on weather conditions and project demands
• Winter layoff may occur annually
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum of at least 18 years of age
• High school education or equivalent
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, shop drawings, rebar schedules, and specifications

• Physical Requirements
• Stand for long periods of time, as well as kneel, crouch and/or crawl
• Carry tools and equipment, frequently lift and carry materials weighing 25-100 lbs
• Climb up and down ladders
• Be able to see (naturally or with correction)
  

Preferred Qualifications

• General labor experience working in the outdoors
• Experience with GPS or TPS
• Post-secondary education in construction
