Permit Technician Construction

Job Description

RollShield LLC is currently seeking an experienced permitting clerk for a busy residential and commercial construction company located in Clearwater, FL. Office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday.

A polished professional with good client communication skills and the ability to be a team player is critical to the success of this position. An ideal candidate must have the following qualities and skills:

Must be friendly, courteous, polite, team player, great interpersonal skills, great communication (verbal and listening) skills, professional, telephone skills, computer skills, customer service, very organized, detail-oriented, great time-management skills, handle multiple tasks, and ability to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed and dependable.

Responsibilities:

• Request permits from building departments in various municipalities
• Complete permit packets
• Review, submit and retrieve permit-related documentation from customers to/from planning and building departments
• Track permit progress through planning and building department
• Data entry
  
  

Qualifications:

• Required previous experience in a construction-related permitting role.
• Permitting experience required
• Knowledge of general office duties and clerical duties
• Previous experience working in a construction or building department environment
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
• Accurate and concise typing skills
