We are the largest 2nd Tier supplier of cellular modems worldwide to the automotive industry.Working at Rolling Wireless is joining a multicultural team at a high-growth organization.We are looking for a Senior Director Purchasing who wants to work in a transparent, efficient, and fast-paced organization and have a tangible impact not only on the company's products, but also on its processes.Position / Assignment Purpose :Responsible for managing and refining the systems and processes required of a disciplined purchasing and sourcing organization including both direct and indirect purchasing. He/she will develop and execute the Rolling Wireless strategic purchasing plan to support Rolling Wireless overall business strategy. Key Accountabilities / Statement of Work :Develop a highly professional and industry-knowledgeable global purchasing team:Provide leadership around corporate procurement guidelines and standards while enabling the implementation of innovative practicesStreamline and optimize the RFP/RFQ processesReview, recommend and manage the negotiation of price and other terms and conditions with suppliers that are mutually beneficial and recognize business driversWork with the Supply Chain group to optimize Contract Manfuacturing strategy and negotiations with the CMs annuallyEstablish policies that minimize risk by determining selection processes and criteria, including terms, conditions and negotiations of contracts, for all purchasing and supplier relationshipsBuild in key processes to track contract approvals, competitive bids, exits in contracts, risk of price movement and currencyConduct high-level negotiations with senior executives of suppliers; create new business opportunities through creative strategies with suppliersProactively manage Rolling Wireless supplier relationshipsEngage with Business Unit and other Corporate Functions to provide project sourcing support for indirect purchasing primarilyDevelop supplier base and monitor supplier quality performanceThis function covers the purchasing of licenses, services, infrastructure hardware, MRO.
