Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardscape Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing outdoor hardscaping projects, including the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape features. Your hands-on skills and commitment to safety will help bring innovative outdoor spaces to life while adhering to project specifications and timelines. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and layout of hardscaping construction sites by interpreting technical drawings and construction plans.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently to install various building materials such as stone, brick, concrete, and pavers.
- Install a variety of outdoor features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire pits, and water features with precision and attention to detail.
- Support the team in performing site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and project specifications.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation activities such as door hanging, window installation, drywall finishing, stucco application, caulking, plastering, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and trim carpentry.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris regularly throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a focus on outdoor hardscaping projects or related fields.
- Familiarity with building construction techniques including installing building materials such as stone, brick, concrete pavers, and related hardscape elements.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment (such as skid steers or mini-excavators), and interpreting technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety protocols relevant to construction sites; ability to adhere strictly to safety guidelines at all times.
- Skills in plumbing, electrical work, drywall finishing, plastering or stucco application are a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high productivity levels.
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills; willingness to learn new skills such as construction estimating or management is advantageous.
