Ultrasound Technologist
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have current ARDMS certification and current CPR certification.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Manage ultrasound equipment for the studies of ultrasound examinations. Evaluate studies for technical quality and properly fill out worksheet. Assumes care for the physical and physiological well-being of patients.
SUPERVISES: No one.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS: General public, representatives of other health care facilities, physicians, and other in-house departmental personnel, patients, and patient families.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Duties of the position require extended periods of sitting with computer work, may occasionally involve lifting, bending, stooping squatting, twisting, and handling of equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Pleasant office environment. Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, high noise levels and hazardous materials and fumes.
